George Mayer, Chairman, is a Certified County Mediator serving in Flagler County and has served on the Board since 2006. Mr. Mayer's background is in education and has served as President of the Teachers Union. Mr. Mayer supports mediation as an alternative resolution process that allows citizens to solve legal problems without going to court.
Carol Lynn Bari, Vice Chairperson and Mediator Representative, has served on several boards including the North Miami Beach Mayor's Advisory Board for women and families, the National Association of Commissions for Women and the Halifax Plantation Homeowners' Association. Ms. Bari serves as a volunteer mediator in Volusia County.
Arnold Leeks, Secretary, is currently in the military. Mr. Leeks serves on the Board of Directors because he believes in the process and enjoys helping and being part of the process of settling disputes.
Honorable David Beck, has served on the Board of Director since 2004. Judge Beck was a Certified County Mediator before being appointed to the County Court Bench. Judge Beck believes it is important and necessary work and wants to contribute in any way possible to help people settle their disputes without having to go through the courts.
Melissa Brown-Mack, is an Academic Advisor in the College of Health at Daytona State College. She believes this is one of the most rewarding and empowering services available to the community. She also mentors college and elementary school students. Melissa serves as a volunteer mediator in Volusia County.
Linda Kalaydjian, has served on the Board of Directors since 2003. She has a Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement background and is a Certified Family Mediator in private practice. She continues to serve in order to promote the role of mediation in everyone's lives.
Ed Matz, is an attorney in Volusia County. Mr. Matz serves on the Board of Directors and has given Training on mediation issues pertinent to County Court.
Diane Bell, an Educator and Mediator. Mediation training she received at the Department of Defense Dependents Schools in Japan "was fascinating and invaluable for dealing with issues as a principal". She believes that mediation is a menaningful and personally gratifying volunteer experience.
Eric Doten, Eric Doten is a County Mediator in St Johns County. An aviation consultant, he is a retired Air Force aviator and past Chancellor of the Daytona Campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is a strong supporter of the mediation process, and hopes to see St Johns county initiate a citizen's dispute resolution program.
